Next Generation Accountant

We are looking for an accountant who would love to join a fun, friendly and forward thinking team

30 hours a week, Monday to Thursday.

We are looking for an NZ experienced accountant that’s been working in old school establishments but is looking for a change. We are an expanding practice and would love to find someone who meets our way of thinking.

While as a profession we comply with everything IRD and legal, we are after someone who likes their clients, doesn’t just see them as a number and enjoys helping businesses and individuals get their money sorted and wealth growing.

An overview of what you will be up to :-

• Looking after your clients, this mean touching base, checking how they are going and if there’s anything they need help with.
• Keeping on top of your monthly to do list and targets.
• Use your initiative to spot when you can provide extra services.
• Grow your client base and reap the benefits.
• Make sure you stick within the client’s budget, so no shock invoices for them! Any changes are repriced and agreed upfront.
• Your flair for keeping in contact and in touch means “Happy Clients”.
• Contact is key, so 24-hour turnaround for any emails or phone calls.
• Plus the usual accounting and compliance expected from an accountant.

The detail side of the job :-

• You will help review work assigned to colleagues. To double check, we call it teamwork.
• Complete project management tasks you have been given.
• Prepare proposals and not be afraid of MS Office
• Help with input on sales and marketing and stuff you know works
• Compliance returns
• Keep on top of tax payments for your clients
• Have a good handle on Xero, our clients need your help
• Have minimum 3 years New Zealand accounting practice experience with associated tax knowledge
